Our Story

Tychon Packaging started in 2018 with a straightforward observation: packaging companies were selling commodity products and calling it innovation. Produce was spoiling on shelves. Cannabis operators couldn't find compliant packaging from a Canadian supplier. Food brands were stuck choosing between sustainability and affordability.

We set out to build a packaging company that actually solves those problems. That led to AIRVIA — our patent-pending centralized ventilation technology, developed with a $300,000 grant from Intellectual Property Ontario and our partnership with Excalibur Plastics. Independent testing showed AIRVIA reduces mould by up to 95%,* extending shelf life and cutting shrink for produce operations across North America.

Tychon Packaging warehouse and distribution facility

On the child-resistant side, our TyCann beverage lid became Canada's #1 selling child-resistant beverage lid — manufactured in Windsor, Ontario, with annual volumes exceeding 12 million units. In 2026 we expanded into an 80,000 sq ft facility in Leamington to support dedicated customer inventory programs. Today we serve all three markets from one operation: produce, food, and child-resistant packaging, with in-stock inventory, custom branding, and warehousing built around how our customers actually buy.
